Your Western Financial Group Financial Services broker is an employee at one of the many locations serving communities in western Canada. Your broker reports directly to the manager of the local office and is also supervised by staff in our High River, AB, Head Office.
All brokers hold the necessary licenses and qualifications to sell the products they offer. All provinces require brokers holding a license to participate in ongoing training and development. Western Financial Group has standards in excess of these basic requirements that all employees must complete.
Brokers of Western Financial Group place insurance with a variety of insurers, with the majority of Life, Group Life & Health Insurance, Disability, Critical Illness and Long Term Care Insurance being placed with Desjardins Financial Security and Western Life Assurance Company. Western Financial Group is an affiliate of Western Life Assurance Company, and life licenses are sponsored or authorized by Western Life Assurance Company.
Our goal is to ensure that our brokers find you the appropriate coverage to meet your personal insurance and financial needs. As a result we may place your coverage with another company or third party intermediary that best suits your needs.
If you choose to purchase a product through us, Western Financial Group will receive a commission and the responsible Broker or other employees or agents may receive a portion of this commission or other incentives. They may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as bonuses or non-monetary benefits, such as travel incentives and consumer products based on various factors such as sales volume or persistency of business that is placed during a given period of time. While Western Financial Group and its brokers/agents are paid commissions by various insurance companies, no insurance company holds an ownership business in Western Financial Group, nor does Western Financial group hold an interest in any insurance company. Your financial and insurance objectives are our first priority.
We take the possibility of a conflict of interest seriously. Your broker will notify you in writing of any conflict of interest of which they become aware regarding their services or recommendations to you. The service rendered by your broker will take into account an analysis of your financial and insurance security needs.
